As a child growing up on a farm, she loved working with her natural instincts to find spots of pain to work away for her parents and grandparents. Kim was being called to helping those experiencing pain from a young age. Starting with a career in Special Education, followed by caretaking for a family member with Dementia, her passion of working with someone who is hurting never went away. This all led her back to realizing her dreams, and going on to attain what she calls the greatest accomplishment of her life, earning the letters “LMT” after her name.
Kim has always believed in the holistic approach to health and reminds us through her touch what it is to Pause. She believes the benefit that therapeutic touch provides both physically and mentally is the cornerstone of Holistic Medicine. Her ultimate goal in her practice as a massage therapist here at Root is to bring her clients back to a state of balance, and to teach them that continued bodywork is an essential part of self-care.
