Lydia Tate, LAc
Lydia’s holistic treatment approach uses several modalities to facilitate the health and well-being of her patients including Acupuncture, Chinese herbal formulas, and Shiatsu. Treatments may also include other techniques such as cupping, moxibustion, nutritional, and lifestyle advice. Her highest intention is to tailor each treatment to the individual’s need, meet them where they’re at and to empower and facilitate a person’s natural healing process to occur. Patients leave the treatment table feeling refreshed, calm, and supported.
Lydia attended the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where she found an immense passion for the dynamic possibilities and treatment styles that Chinese Medicine can provide. Lydia has advanced training Shiatsu and Tuina styles of bodywork, as well as a deep passion and understanding of herbal medicine. Lydia has focused areas in women’s health, digestive issues and chronic pain. She also draws from her background in mental health in order to treat those struggling with mental health. Her plans for the future includes facilitating comfort and pain management for hospice and chemotherapy patients, or those experiencing the end of their life. She is looking forward to being able to share the skills she has learned with the community here at Root and educate those about the transformative power of Chinese Medicine.
