Dr. Nicole Kilian, ND, Lac
Dr. Kilian asks a lot of questions because listening is the foundation of her practice. With degrees in both Naturopathic medicine and Acupuncture, Dr. Kilian is rooted in traditional medicines while keeping the pulse on evidence-based solutions. Dr. Kilian treats many different conditions, but is most interested in how the patient’s daily life is impacted. Dr. Kilian has a collaborative approach to treating her patients.
Her prescribed treatments include nutritional counseling, acupuncture, western and Chinese herbs, supplements, cupping, and counseling, as well as pharmaceutical medications when necessary. Dr. Kilian is also a strong proponent of Vitamin “N” as in Nature.
Dr. Kilian earned her degrees from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR, and her thesis work at NUNM focused on over-training syndrome in ultramarathon athletes. She has completed extensive clinical rotations in mental health, and as an acupuncture intern provided symptom relief to cancer and multiple sclerosis patients while they underwent infusions.
Dr. Kilian’s first introduction to naturopathic medicine started when she struggled with chronic fatigue and wanted to run a marathon. She was amazed at how simple changes to her routines gave her the energy she needed. This sparked the interests that lead her to where she is today.
In her own words, “Healthy has a lot of different definitions. My strength is in helping patient’s define their definition of healthy and then working towards achieving those goals. You will not find a better cheerleader! I am on your team.” When not at the clinic, Dr. Kilian enjoys hiking, running, climbing and skiing in the beautiful outdoors of the Pacific Northwest. Her current adventures include chasing after her toddler and discovering new hikes in the Tillamook State Forest.
