MASSAGE TECHNIQUES
Swedish

Long relaxing strokes designed to calm the nervous system, inducing rest and digest, combined with kneading motions to warm the tissue, increase circulation and prepare the body for deeper work. 

Deep Tissue

Focused, muscle specific work usually performed with elbows, forearms and thumbs with steady intention to break up adhesions and reduce chronic tension and pain.

Myofacial Release

Generally done before applying oil, this technique uses slow, subtle, gentle movement of the fascial lines, preparing the tissue for deeper work.

Lymphatic Drainage

Extremely gentle, long, feather-like strokes to reduce toxins in the body and send the lymph toward the heart.  This subtle treatment can help reduce swelling, muscle soreness and fatigue while boosting the immune system.

Trigger Point Work

A highly relieve technique by which sustained, specific pressure is used in harmony with the breath to disperse a trigger point.  This can reduce or completely eliminate radiating pain, shooting pain or tingling which originated from the trigger point.

Sports

Uptempo, firm, muscle specific or general work used tohelp prepare the body for high intensity performance sports or to reuce soreness and inflammation post event.

Craniosacral

A dreamlike method using soft holds at the base of the skull and sometimes under the sacrum to release restrictions, improving the function of the central nervous system.  This non-invasive treatment can help relieve migraines, chronic neck and back pain, scoliosis, emotional difficulties, stress, fibromyalgia and post traumatic stress disorder.

Reflexology
